Ovene Paso Robles Syrah

This elegant Syrah is a blend of cool climate Santa Ynez Valley grapes and warm to hot climate West Side Paso Robles grapes. The cool climate offers bright fruit flavors up front and strong acidity that carries through the finish. The warmer climate component provides supple tannins, dark cherries and overall structure that integrates all of the different characteristics. After fermentation in small open top fermenters, this wine was barrel aged for over 24 months in French and American oak barrels. This extended period in barrel allowed the wine to find harmony and achieve elegance and complexity.
